Welcome to the forums. Your fiance is a lucky man for you to be willing to buy him a gift that will probably become a very addictive hobby. I don't know how much you want to spend but a great place to research nearly all the cameras is www.chasingame.com. In the $200 range the 2011 Bushnell is a good choice. If you want to spend less, I would say the Wildgame Innovations X6C is a good choice. Also check out the Moultrie M100 or M80, two new cameras on the market this year that are getting good reviews. Almost any of the Scoutguards are solid and the Primos cams are getting good reviews. If money is not an issue, the Reconyx is hands down the best camera made but those are in the range of $450-$550. Hope this helps.

Blessings......Pastorjim
