In illinois we only get one buck tag at a time for Archery, how would he be able to tag them and not get fined?
That is
incorrect. Residents (which you are) may buy as many combo tags as they' d like, but may only take two antlered deer per season. You can buy
two combo tags and kill
two bucks in a day if you' d like.
There is no limit on the number of tags you can buy per day as a resident bowhunter in Illinois.
