Default Whitetail European Mount, No Beetles, No Boiling.

This Whitetail skull is old, dirty and obviously it had been outside for over a year or more. It has numerous dark blood stains and dried up cartilage in several areas. Beyond all that the skull is actually in great condition, no bone damage, minus the bottom jaw.

I am unable to beetle clean this one and, I prefer not to boil or pressure wash skulls as those methods will cause bone separation and damage.

I also prefer natural bone and do not to use paint or primer or urethane on skulls. The Antlers and brow tines are very impressive, but sun bleached and almost completely faded, but solid.

I used a natural bacteria technique in a maceration tank to remove all the cartilage, protein, grease and blood stains.

Then airbrushed the Antlers with Vandykes Antler stain.
The finished project was an extremely clean and immaculate skull with absolutely no bone damage or shrinkage.
