Range Report TC BC
Well I finally had time to go out to the range. Wanted to play around with my Bone Collector. First tried to shoot some 300 grains lead cast semi wad cutters. It was AWFUL. I didn't even post the pic of the target. Was a 4inch plus group all over. Thought I was shooting a shotgun. Then I swabbed and switched to the Speer 300 grain Deep Curl. What a bullet! The three shot group on the target was my first three. Then I don't know what I was doing, but every bullet touched another one way or another. Going to have to play around with this one. It gives me roughly a 1/4 inch better group then XTPS. The last target is what I call the misfit group. I shot XTPS, Deep Curl, SST, and Shockwaves. Also different sabots; MMP Black, Harvester Crushed Rib, Hornaday Red sabots, and TC super glide. What I'm amazed about is how I still roughly stayed in two inch group with all the combinations. The only two that got out had the TC super glide sabots. There are some double bullet holes the picture just doesnt show it very well. Seems no matter what my Bone Collector will shoot a group with any bullet sabot execpt for the lead cast and TC super glide sabots. All were shot with a 90 grain BH209 charge. I still cant believe how much fun it is to shoot this gun. Can't wait till hunting season. Either going to hunt with the 300 grain XTP MAG or 300 grain Speed Deep Curl. Now I'm going to really settle down and focus on those two bullets and figure out whats best.
