Hunting bow no way Im getting in a tree withought a whisker biscut. Over the past 30 years Ive had stuff unexpectedly happen in trees to many times that have cost, or could have cost me shots. Ive used a WB for the last 10 or so years and its one less thing to worry about especially when you have to reposition on a moving deer etc. I'll take any extra help I can get.
X2, except that I have not been bowhunting for 10 years. I have used a QAD ultra rest HD for target shooting, but ended up selling it as I still prefer the WB. The only person I shoot competitively with is myself, so if I don't have 10 arrows touching each other at 40 yards, I am okay with that. Putting those same 10 in the kill zone suffices for me. But I never shoot 10 arrows at a time anymore. I used to shoot several hundred shots a day, but now the most I will shoot in a day is 10-15...and no more than 2-3 shots at a time. Pick up the bow and shoot a couple of shots...cold, stiff muscles just like it will be from my stand. I practice in situations as close as possible to what I will be hunting in.
