Your best bet is to get an operators manual. Ford 309 is an excellent planter. Some parts are still available from Ford/New Holland. I believe that some seed plates and such parts as seed knockers (the things that go click, click, click in the seed cans when the press wheels turn) and manuals are available. Plates are pricy, but used ones are often available on ebay.
Hasnt been used in a couple years .
I lubed up everything and got most of it turning and freed up /
Overal in very nice shape .
Only thing I see missing a the chain for the fertilizer dispenser and one of the seed bin lids .
I got the 2 installed plates and abought 6 more with it .
I got the plates turning freely and clicking like there suppose to .
I just need to figure out what plate size I need .
