Not much problem if you' re talking about a pure target shooting arrow. Not so with a hunting arrow. The arrow will not be as stable as one with a higher FOC and it will be harder to tune. It will also be more likely to amplify any shooting errors you make. If you' re talking fixed blade heads, those problems are magnified. I don' t have any hard evidence to back it up, but I' m convinced that an arrow with low FOC does not penetrate as well as one with high FOC, especially when it comes to quartering shots and any shot that encounters bone, however slightly.

My preference is to stay between 10-12%.
