The Canadian 209 kit hammer has a forward faceing dimple in the center of it. I bought my kit for the 54 at Cabelas.
The #11 hammer is a cup on the end of the plunger. The # 11 works well as long as you take the time to take the bolt apart clean the spring and the insides. Use a dri slide type of lube as a oil will freeze in cold temps.

This bolt take down tool is worth every penny of it's price.



Another plus for this old muzzle loader is the trigger ajustment eaz. several places on the net explains the proper way to do it.
