As warm as it was and with the gut shot and probably up into the liver and lungs, I don' t think the meat would have been good anyway. That deer was probably dead within an hour. She' d be all green underneath by morning. Just my take, but I' m assuming you got pretty substantial penetration with just hitting guts first and no bone. In front of that everything is deadly, so I say she died pretty quick. The shot is a great shot to take if you start it in the right direction. The problem most people have is they aim to far forward.
