I never even thought of my shooting as crime prevention. But now that you joke about it, I am sure all my neighbors in hearing range know that I shoot a lot of rifles off. And I am sure in their day to day conversations they complained about the crazy old guy in the woods that shoots rifles off each day. They also were afraid of my dog, but in reality, that old devil would have licked them to death.
