I am a regular at the fishing forum of HNI, but thought you guys might appreciate this.

This post is going to have ups and downs. This is about many individuals who deserve recognition but will never read this post. One of my baseball players whom I coached last year had a life changing event occur yesterday. His father had a major heart attack at the age of 48, and past away.

I was close with this kid and we went hunting and fishing multiple times over the past few years. I really feel for him.

Well, Michigan turkey season opened today and we had storms blow through overnight bringing inches of snow. I went out this morning only because I had the day off work, otherwise I would have stayed in a finished up homework.

At 8:30AM I moved to a new spot I have never hunted and gained permission on this year. Within 30 minutes I had my cheek on the barrel looking at a beautiful long beard.

After all was said and done, I had to just sit down, in the snow, in the middle of a beautiful hidden over a mile from a paved street, and take life in.

I want to thank my dad for everything he has given me, more importantly, everything that comes with being a child of an incredible dad.

I have recieved many opportunities from my dad, and created many more on my own from his guidance. My dad, and my friends dad who died graduated two years apart.

Lastly, to all the property owners who all me to enjoy the great outdoors, I can't thank-you enough. You make it more than memorable, and I hope you understand my appreciation.

To all on the HNI Forums, enjoy mother nature and appreciate what you have been given!
