Default Beaver Style Baits

I have tried a few beaver style baits recently (Strike King's Rodent, BBB's YoMamma) and really enjoyed them. I Texas rig them with the lightest weight possible, and toss them in and around brush. The action I use it like a mix between a worm and a jig. I let it sink to the bottom then give it short quick hops across the bottom with an occasional large hop. Unlike a jig though, I never let it rest on the bottom longer than 1 second. What really surprised me is how weedless they have been. I figured with the wide body that they would pick up weeds from everywhere, but they really don't. The only problem I have found was with the Rodents having their smaller arms ripped off on the first fish. If I get two fish out of a lure, I am doing good, so I picked up a few bags from different brands to see if I can find one with similar performance but better durability. That brings me to my question:

What style beaver baits have you all been successful with, and what techniques did you prefer to use?
