There are more options than pillow ticking and pre cuts. I always cut at the muzzle, and don't use pillow ticking. My guns don't like .018.

Look at this list and you'll see 1/2 yd available on some of the materials. The white cotton is just as tight as pillow ticking, but comes in all sizes. I like PT, but don't like the idea of only getting it in one size.
