T_inPA2, I think you hit the nail on the head. The blade design on the crimson talon is heilical,not straight like most BH' s and the last 1/8" on thr rear of the blades is in the air not set in the ferrel. So with heilical blades and the gap at the rear my guess is that it would act like a barb on a fishing hook. So if a deer was shot with a non-leathal shot the BH would have a more difficult time coming out of the animal. When i read this post a freind of mine in NH uses these and showed them to me and that was the only thing we could think of . The other head that comes to mind was the old hoyt chuck-it BH, they were illegal in a few states for acting like a barb. Hopefull PFG will state their reason for being illegal then there wont be any speculation on why?
