we waited for about 30 min to an hour and then went in to blood trail it and we trailed it for about 150 yards and then the blood quit
And that was it? Did you give up after loosing the first sign of blood? Did you try circling (increasing the circle by 5 yards each time) the last sign of blood? Did you mark the trail of blood and try to walk a straight line after loosing it? Did you try grid searching? Anything?
