The argument of " I have taken a deer with that shot" is absolutely pointless. Even if the kill you made was purely skill and you are a great shot.......it only takes being off by 1/2" to make this shot a bad one and a lost animal. NO ONE is that good a shot.......NO ONE........so you may think it was skill but luck was definately on your side.
That is a good point that you make Atlas. It really does not matter how experienced you are or how skilled you are. It is still an iffy shot. You have to remember that someone may be able to hit a 1/2 inch TARGET at that range 10 out of 10 times. BUT, that is a stationary object. Things happen in real hunting situations that are beyond the archers control.
