sabot, I had that type of rings on my .45 Knight for at less 8 or 9 years, never had a problem. I just took them off Thursday and put them on my .45 Apex along with the 2x7x36 Nikon. I just couldn't see putting a the new 4x12x40 Vortex on the Apex yet, Sorry MD.
