My biggest complaint wasn't the size of the granules but that there was almost no uniformity in the shape/size.
I am thinking back to my teaching History days... and f I remember correctly, when the colonists were making their own BP, which really wasn't that bad of a powder. Certainly not the quality of the English. The powder 'leafs' were broken by hand to be of the consistency that was close to what they were looking for. Can not imagine that to be like modern powder granuals of today.

Like you I am really not expecting much - but i owe it to myself to find out... because I keep thinking.... what if????
