Good job on the first deer! I still believe that any deer is a good deer for the first one with a bow. My first deer with a bow was a nubbin. Nothing wrong with that. Sounds like a great shot too. Being pacient, and thinking fast is what bowhunting is all about. Sounds like you' re well on your way. Enjoy that tender meat!
