OK.....Some of you guys may call me crazy, but Im continously mixing different lures and scents, already bottled as well as my own gathering. I like to be involved in every part of the hunt from mixing lure to cutting up the meat.
Anyway, I was trying to come up with a scent eliminator, with a slight deer gland cover scent.....I had already mixed a few ingredients and documented them, when I decided to add just a drop of Buck Fever Forehead gland lure due to the infinate shelf life. As soon as i did this, my whole concoction came bioling over the bottle like a shook up can of soda and within seconds my ENTIRE home reaked off deer musk(which furiated my wife

) !! After testing the ingredients seperately I discovered that the majority of the reaction came from mixing the forehead gland with baking soda. Every time i mixed just about a tablespoon of baking soda to a tblspoon an a half of forehead gland it was like pouring a whole bottle of the stuff into a fan and blowing thru my house. I mean this stuff can fill a room as soon as it starts to bubble.....when i figured out how to get it to mix with the other ingredients and tame the reaction, it smelled just like an EXTREMELY well worked scrape. I hope to field test this stuff and hopefully post some pics later on. I think this could possibly aid in rapid scent dispersal. Any body else notice any thing like that??
