In the time leading to this erosion, i managed to damage the compression rings whilst cleaning. I repaired them the best i could, but now i need to use a tool to install the plug into my Triumph. I couldn't use the supplied tool because of the scope mounted. A tool was fabricated, so to install the plug into the rifle. Then after that issue was dealt with the o-ring fell apart. It was replaced with an o-ring i found at our local ACE hardware. It isn't quite the proper fit.

One good thing; i can most of the time, remove the plug from the rifle without a tool.
ron, you do excellent work.. but i think a new BP is in order for that triumph lol. they also sell the compression rings and O -ring Ray
