This area, Walton and Holmes counties, have never been known as a trophy size buck area, at least compared to many parts of the country. This year there have been several good bucks. A friend of mine killed a 155 3/8ths buck that was top in the area. After that the big ones dropped to 131 5/8ths, then to 130 2/8ths and then to 126 6/8ths.
