I own a couple Tikka T3 's (.300 WM), .30-06) which I've hunted elk and deer with respectively. They are extremely accurate rifles. I put 2.5-10 x 42 and 3-9 x 40 Nikon Monarch scopes on them, which hold their zero and have great optics.
I was looking at the Tikkas, but my buddy had the Savage in a .243 and once I shot it, I thought it felt like a great gun. I've done some research and most sites that reivew the rifle say that the bolt on it is better than most for left handed guns. That's why I was leaning towards them. As far as the scope, I already have that taken care of. I have a Redfield that I'm throwing on it. Very nice scope, it's a 3-9 x 50 I believe? I think the next place I need to head is to the range and get her nailing tacks. Thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate it! Steve
