Depends on what your looking for in a dog imo. Dogs breeds are kind of like hunters, each has thier own hunting style. Brittanys are
generaly closer working than the other pointers. They are somewhat more timid mentaly than many of the larger pointing breeds and will not respond well to heavy handed training technics.
The best dog I ever had, hunting and companion wise, was a brittany. My next dog will be a Brittany...good luck with your venture!
