White-tail typically shed their antlers the earliest. I found a 170 shed in early february, but went out today, March 2, 2011, and found that some white-tails still had their head gear on.. their time must be due. I am also under the understanding that the bigger deer will shed their antlers early becasue they want to get a head start on growing a new and much bigger pair. and today, March 2, 2011 i found a set of the biggest Muley sheds I have ever laid hands on. so I hope that answers you question. March is a good month for mulies I find, I call it muley march.
