everything seems to be getting back to (" almost Normal" ) , so Finally got to hunt a day this week end. Sat. morning went to one of my favorite stands.(I have taken a deer from it every year for the last 10).
At just light enough to see,a doe comes buy.then at 7:25 another deer comes down the same trail.I' m thinking he' s got horns;but is it enough to shoot(has to have forks).he miissed the doe' s trail.he makes a big circle and comes down the trail that leads within 15 yards of my stand.[8D]
One small blate and he stops,the spitfire head passes throug both lungs.he goes about 60 or 70 yards and expired![X(]....... a nice 6 pt. 13 1/2" spread , 135 lbs.(that is a large deer for our area.normal is about 100 to 115lbs.) the horns are not all that big ; but I' m proud of him.[:-][:-]
The only thing,was I had to call for help to get him out(" man I hate to have to call for help" ).he was about 1/2 mile from the road.two hunting buddies went and got him and put him in my truck.[8D]

It is good to have friends you can depend on![:-][:-]
