You can get a new Savage for about the same price as a used Remington 700 BDL while the Savage and Remington ADL run pretty close to the same price. Personally I prefer the Savage over the Remington. I have three of them. If you are looking at buying used you might keep an eye out for a good deal on a Ruger 77.
