First Outing with Knight Disc
Well lets start off I am a T/C man but after this very short outing things might be changing. Lets compare a few things the Original Disc is an older gun than compared to my ProHunter and Triumphs. Is the Disc dirty? Yes compared to the ones mentioned above, but compared to my Blk Diamond it's clean. I was very surprised at how nice the trigger felt. I would guess in the 3.0-3.5lb range and crisp. Shoulders nice and the bolt action not bad but clearance on the bolt to scope is way to close if not touching at full open. The orange discs were easy to handle and load. I only had a few minutes between our food plot maintenance work so while grilling out I said lets get her out. The Disc is topped off with a Nikon Pro Staff 3x9x40 scope with T/C universal gorilla rings and bases. The powder was Pyrodex RS 100gr, bullets used Hornady XTP .40Cal 200gr with the light blue crushed rib sabots. I mounted the scope and as you can see almost missed the target(53yds).
Adjusted
the scope after the next few shots and as you can see the last 3 were okay for me. I was shooting sitting in a deck chair resting the barrel on the deck rail. Hopefully I can get out to a real range a get the sled out and fine tune her at 100yd. Will the Disc replace my T/C's in the field???? I will say for what I paid for the Disc its one fine high quality gun. Only have one target with all seven shots so no cherry picking a good target.
Pic will be posted by Semi in the near future as I cant seem to down size it.
