Congrats, i think you will really like the 52cal if you are looking for upper end 45/70 type performance. The 52x475s are interesting but bullet selection isn't as good. The .475 325gr XTPs ive shot are some thumpers though and Speer offers a couple .475 options too.

The slightly faster twist is the main reason i wanted one and the potential for exceeding 3000FPE within recommended load data. Knights recommended .475-375gr is a expensive beast but you can get close to that level with a Speer .458-350gr SP bullet for a fraction of the cost. The 52cal Knight sabots are tough and should handle just about anything you can tolerate shooting. The recoil pad on the 52cal Extremes are a bit nicer too IIRC.

I wish they would have focused more on a high end 54x50 DISC option with a faster twist but the 52cal was intended for long range performance so my 458-300gr SOCOMs at about 2000fps will have to do for now.
