My first time out I scored on a very big doe. (dressed out at 95lbs.) I had two very nice bucks out at about 80 yds. I would estimate them scoring about 120-130 (best guess). I tried everything to get them within range. However, they were more content just rubbing on trees than comming in to my calls. I watched them for about 40 minutes and they walked off. A very nice doe walked in to range and I was hoping that the bucks would come back but they never did. I ended up shooting the doe right at last light. It was a 30 yd broadside shot and my Mathews Legacy with my Gold tip arrows and spitfire broadheads did the trick. The shot was a good hit in the lungs. The initial impact knocked her down (surprised) She got up and ran about 45 yds down a hill and piled up. The nice thing about it is that I can shoot another 4 anterless deer and still have my anydeer permit for my buck. I love a large deer population! I can taste the sausage now.
