You can't go wrong. That said, the 300 win mag has a more energy and I noticed you want to hunt moose. That extra energy the 300 win mag has might be needed. I have owned both but now I have just the 300 win mag and I would note part with it. Shooting past 350-400 yd is for the expert shooter. I do not belong in that class. Do you? Jim
