That looks mighty fine rafsob. What powder/charge did you use for that target? How did it compare to the conicals?
I've never even considered conicals for my .58. My 1:70 twist barrel wouldn't likely shoot them for squat anyway. But I would like to get a handful of those .58 caliber 440 grain Lee REAL's to try just for the fun of it. I shot my first doe with a ball from the .58 this past season. She dropped, dragged herself about six feet with her front legs, and died in ten seconds. Complete pass through, broadside at 55 yards.
As for the experimenting, I have a good shooting "go to" hunting load for every one of my guns. But I still can't help but play around with other combinations just to see what happens. Silly, sometimes frustrating, but I love it.
