You don't have to spend an arm and leg to get a high quality safety harness. The ones that come with the treestands work just fine as far as keeping you safe but many of them can be a pain in the butt to put on and aren't always all that comfortable.

As soon as they come in this summer I will be looking hard at the new tree spider harness from Robinson outdoors. Supposedly they are gonna come in around $100 retail for the speed harness.
