never witnessed blue tongue but have saw die offs from hemmoragic disease, then you find hundreds, but it normaly occurs just after greenup in the spring.
I know this year I heard many many complaints about the low deer numbers, but I didn't notice that.
I listened to one guy complain most of the season about few deer spotted, the last day of season he saw 47 in 3 hours, so that shot his theory of "no deer" down

That's a 2007 buck, the year 'Blue Tongue' devastated the whole area, not a buck from this year. And 3 on 250 isn't a die off, the 26 in one field 3 miles up the road was. I did fine this year, as I do every other year, and as I suspect I will next year as well.
