I usually check my trail camera's every 1 to 2 weeks...if I happen to go out and do some wood cutting I take some spare batteries and extra SD cards to change them out if I think its getting close to when the batteries are going to be low of charge?

During the winter months sometimes I wait longer,if I'm out Bow Hunting and I'm hunting near the camera's any ways I may check them to see when any Deers have been at the mineral and salt lick!Most of the times I will carry a spare digital camera along with me,then pull the SD cards and while I'm up in my ladder stand I will view the pictures to pass the time away!
