I went with the base mount only because the stock cut on the optima may run into a problem trying to fit the recoil pad on since the mould for the screws are in the stock .I have cut many wood stocks for my LOP 13 1/2"
chop saw and a level only takes a few seconds but at least you can redrill the wood stock for the butt plate any were if needed.
I tried the mount you sent me and still they were to short to get enough eye relief from a 4" set up on the scope.
The above base mount has the rear mount just over the hammer housing and wit hthe off set weaver rings you can use any 4" eye relief set up
