The deer load your using now will work fine on black bears.i see no reason to change what works.if your concerned about .240 gr XTP not being enough bullet, you might step up to the 300 gr XTP.. black bears are not that tuff to kill, with a properly placed shot. grizzlies and browns are a different story.. Ray
