I hunted with a Savage in .222 years and years ago and recently with my .204, but really have no personal experience with the .243. Sold the .204 because I wanted just a little bit more size and power for the coyotes. From time to time on the forum the proper weight bullet for a particular rifle or rate of twist has been discussed--this is a new 700 BDL in .243, barrel is a 1 in 10 twist so what would be a good suggestion for the bullet weight?
