Leupold is not the only company that has a lifetime transferrable warranty. Just off the top of my head: Zeiss, Sightron, and Vortex offer the same thing. Just not sure if they have as much warranty practice as Leupold though.

Vortex will do anything on their warranty to make it right with the optics and the customers. There are a lot of great optics out there that will do the job that the OP is asking about. The one thing that I have learned over the years is that not all optics for all eyes. Do some hands on research and see what fits your eyes better. Just make sure whatever scope you decide on, it has plenty of eye relief for you.
