#12) For high pressure bass or clear water, I have found that often times fine tuning your baits is very important. The past few days I have been assembling some of my flippin' jigs for this upcoming season. I have been putting great emphasis on detail. Making my own, I first put a rattle on. Second, I trim the topside of the skirt (unlike the photo in my avatar). Third, I will slightly shorten up the bottom of the skirt and round it off. Fourth, greatly cut down the weed guard so it barely covers the hook (very important). Pictures to come.
