Thanks BUck..
And you are correct and why a depth finder is a gem..you need to find the big fish..I know last year when my finder was working great..I had the alarm set for BIG fish..The alarm rarely went off...maybe 3 times the entire day..but I caught lots of 1- 2 pounders...when the finder found schools.
Once when I was buzzing along I hear BEEP BEEP BEEP, and looked on the screen..and WHOA!!!! 3 big ones...I turned off the trolling motor..chucked my Terminator 1/2 ounce against the island ..let her fall the 5 foot and SLAM! Birtha inhaled the bait and snapped my line like thread.} -; By the way, the habitat for those 3 big ones were an isolated island with water about 5 foot deep that immediately went down to 24 foot..
A depth finder is another good tip ...like BUck said..ya got to find them.
PS thanks for the link..I plan to buy some.
