Its possible there was one taken in CA in 1997 that was 24 pounds I read that in an book published by outdoor life called big bass secrets. There is a picture of it, and let me tell ya it is huge! It not the record cause it wasnt weighed on a certified scale but they are pushing for it cause the scale that it was weighed on was tested and is down to the ounce the fish was witnessed by 4 other people and caught on a 9 inch rainbow trout jerkbait.
