Hmmmm...where can i start...i think i' ll start here....5:30 woke up excited for opening day...i had just put out a stand about a week ago and had high hopes of seeing some action....Got out nice and quietly and sat till about 10 am...saw nothing, I got down went home....Went to farm and fleet to get ready for my evening hunt i needed some more scent shampoo and what not.......When purchasing the scent products i was thinking that something must to happen tonight to get me going about this years season.....Well i got in a stand that was across the field from where i hunted that morning at around 3:30....This side was where i saw the 200 class buck just last year along with several other nice bucks.....Well i prayed that i would atleast see something, i actually didnt even care if i killed anything, i just needed the reassurance of this years hunt...Well sure enough 6:40 crossed by and a small 8 point much like Peaks big trophy (sarcasm) walked by...nice body but nothing shootable......20 seconds later a nice 8 (guessing it would score 120)and a nice 10 point (around 130) ran out about 50 yards from me all three started sprawling.I honestly dont think i would have taken any of them because i figured they were all young bucks and would be great to harvest next year....While i was watching them i knew it wouldnt be my day but i was sooo thankful to be able to see some good action out in the field....This hunt gave me enough fuel to last the whole season...thanks to god...
