Hey KP, at the time I was using Winchester 209 regular primers. The weather wasn't really that cold, but conditions were very wet! I had leveled my Vision on two different deer and when I pulled the trigger, the primer went off. The only problem was it didn't ignite the powder. After coming back to camp, I went over to our range and tried to shoot this setup again. I could not get the powder to ignite. At that time I put the gun away after cleaning it out. After coming home I went to my local gun club range and tried to get the gun to fire.

However, before I did that I talked to some folks at BH209 company and they told me the Win209 primers may have been to weak in the flash department. They told me to try Federal or the CCI magnum primers. I did and the gun worked from that point on. It has yet to malfunction since this time. The only thing other then the weak primer may have been the weather. Remember, I told you it was very damp.

As to clean, I am called Mr. clean when it comes to MLers. So I know that wasn't the problem.

As far as the bp goes, this Vision has the no red plastic primer holder bp. I place the primer directly into the bp. I get no blowback.
Im thinking it may have been just the Primer being too weak....one time I dropped a Primer in a puddle while sighting in and My Buddy said throw it away as I picked it out, but I tried it and it worked fine. So then I put a few in the puddle for a few minutes, got them out and they all worked.
