Right on. i won't be buying any BlackHorn 209. A friend has been out of town for months. Had breakfast with him yesterday and listened to his tail of woe. Seems like his Encore loved BlackHorn until it came time to shoot that huge 7x7 elk. Yep, it fizzled. It's back to Pyrodex for him.
I hardly think that is BH209's fault...there are too many variables to say that it is. I've left the same load in for 4 weeks and it went bang (I know others have left loads using other powders for longer). With one exception, I have never had a load of BH209 fizzle on me. Goes bang on time, every time. The only time it didn't, the powder charged was soaked from heavy rain. Should I blame BH209? Probably.
