The reason I didn't ask about a .243 is that it is so close to calibers I already have. I want to get something a little different. May have to wait for a while now, though, because I just got a .17 HMR. I might be in a little trouble on the homefront if I went ahead and got another gun so quickly.

Love the .17 though...got it on a really good sale plus some gift cards and I have wanted one for a while. It is a Savage Model 93R17 BTVS.
