I really hesitate to respond any more to post made by GMMAT or bigcountry because quite frankly their history of trying to ridicule me, staff, BowTech, and anyone else that might defend them is well documented.
For the record I was asked to be on staff because of my belief in a company and their products, also what I bring to the table with my many years in archery and experience working with the public. As Staff we are asked to work trade shows, dealer shows, special dealer/store events, and keep tabs on problems dealers in our area or where we might travel are experiencing, not too post on the internet! LOL!!
The last year I kept track I worked a total 11 days at various events/shows, drove a total of over 1700 miles with no compensation for time, mileage, or gas. I might add my overnight rooms were paid for and most of my meals, but not all my meals were.
If anyone believes that bow was free then they definitely are doing some different math than I am.
As far as what I do with those bows after I am done with them. Well honestly that is my business! But since you seem to want to stick your nose in my business the fact is yes I sold approx 50% of the bows I have received in the past 4 years and with very small to no profit. After all they were used.
The other 50% were given to younger archers, or individuals who were in a financial situation that prevented them from buying a New bow but yet they Love the sport of Archery/Bowhunting. That was my choice! I might add there was great satisfaction in playing Santa Claus to someone who can only dream about a new to them BowTech.
I have also posted in Mathews and Hoyt threads when I thought they were being needlessly bashed and will continue.
Is BowTech perfect? No! They have had issues with Cam lean and I think I owned one of the worst I have saw but as noted in a previous post in this thread it never caused me a problem, nor the guy I gave it to after shooting it 2 years. They have addressed those cam lean problems and they are rare now. I also know they have had issues with customer service that is less than what I would like to see, but everyone at hdqtrs is aware of it and striving to correct the problem.
The unbelievable growth BowTech has had since 99 is amazing and there are going to be growing pains. Their products are pushing technology every year, and the Hardcore limbs have been a super addition to the line and is expanding in 2011.
I could care less what bow anyone shoots. If you are an honest, ethical Bowhunter, then as far as I am concerned you are a brother of mine in Archery and I'll help you any way I kind. In the past few months I have setup PSE, Hoyt, Mathews, Diamond, and BowTech bows and extreme care was taken with each setup. I have helped many on the forums around the net get parts at zero profit to me? Why you might ask? To help a fellow Archer/Bowhunter
I Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!
