I was there...in Sept...the weather for us wasn't too bad, lil warm a couple days, both of us almost got it done the 1st night!
then we struggled to run into another elk the rest of the week.
locals etc...everyone hunting was either running into wolves, or sign, and saying the elk just aren't here anymore, 1/10th of what they use to be. we heard howls...pretty close a few times.
