Anyway to my question I have some 44/260 gr dead centers, I noticed you mentioned the 220/240/300 version. Just curious did you not try these or found them to be less accurate???
For caribou, I wanted the flattest shooting load I could come up with-- and the 220' s were it. You lose the high BC of the .40 cal DC' s by going to the .44/260, and no-- I' ve not tested them.

For boar, I wanted more bullet weight, and was less focused on max. point blank range-- so I went with the 300 / .44. I' ve not tested all the Dead Centers-- when I started doing so I was running them though 10 different muzzleloaders, and with other brands of bullets to test as well-- just could not do them all.
