I found a single drop of synthetic oil does wonders stretch the tape enough so that it fits down into the threads like Sabotloader's picture and put the drop of synthetic oil on spread it with a finger and screw the plug in with out leaving it set any length of time. If that does not fix it the wire brush the threads on the plug and in the gun to take off any burrs and try again. I have use the tape twice in the field with out a problem as long as I am not using 777.
